A sucker for libraries ? If you’re a member is for free ( I do not know how to become one ) Non-member pays 100 Bhat, I guess it’s unlimited entry. I am not sure how to borrow books if you’re a not a member. Anyway, small library. Basic books. Not the latest. They do have old books that dated to 1990’s. Well categorised books as well. Went here to kill time. Ended up reading the Bangkok Post ( please tell me that reading newspaper is not a novelty, I love it ). Has a cafe outside that opens at 10am. Really nice ambience ??
We had a fantastic night there with this special instrumental concert. They were amazing young talented musicians. The library is beautiful and super cozy. The staff treated us like family. Lots of greenery and big trees in their garden. The small coffee shop is perfect. An impressive night indeed.
Charming venue, well kept premises, interesting architectural heritage in the middle of the city. Laid back atmosphere. Free entry for some cultural events but membership fee for library access. You can donate your books here and they also have a bi-annual book sales where you can find real bargains. I picked up an interesting vintage German illustration book, two very nicely designed Taiwanese children's books and a scientific book for work use that was still in a very good condition.
- Small libraly with a lot of English books (90%) and Thai book (10%) of various interest (fiction, non-fiction, young adult novel, children, Japanese manga, gardening, biography, business, etc.) - A few parking spaces available (around 5-6 cars) - There are annual sales where a lot of old books are sold in half (or lower) the price - There is a coffee shop within the library fence
I visited here without admission fee because it’s book on sale period. The architecture inside the library is beautifully classic.
