I recently visited the Delhi Zoo with my family over the weekend, and we had a fantastic time! The zoo is conveniently located near the Supreme Court metro station (or Khan Market metro station), making it easily accessible by public transport. Before heading to the zoo, we purchased our tickets online through the Delhi Zoo website, which made the entry process smooth and hassle-free. However, be prepared to submit all your belongings, including water bottles and food items, at the entrance. You can, however, purchase water and snacks from the canteen inside. We were impressed by the vast collection of animals, including tigers, white tigers, lions, crocodiles, elephants, and many more. The zoo is well-maintained, with clean surroundings and ample shade. The electric vehicle service within the zoo is convenient, although we felt that more vehicles were needed to cater to the large weekend crowd. A notable mention is the zoo's initiative to promote sustainability – you can get a refund of ₹20 if you return your water bottle! Overall, the Delhi Zoo is a great place to spend quality time with family and friends.
Nice place to go with kids. It is a 3-4 hour engagement. The kids really enjoyed the tour. Almost all animals are there. One can book and get a battery operated vehicle inside the zoo. The price of the zoo ticket is Rs. 80 for adults and Rs. 40 for kids(5-12 years). I bought tickets online to avoid a long queue. There is a cafeteria outside the zoo.

Visited recently with the family.. we spent 4 hours to discover the zoo properly..My daughter was very happy she saw the different types of animals and species. Birds Tiger, Lion, hippo and so on.. Best part during summer you can find tree shades every where on path..and this gives ease to discover the zoo without much sun exposure. You can buy ticket online before visiting the zoo.
