Sutherland St, Williamstown WA 6430, Australia
A surprise as not planning to visit, but Visitors Centre recommended. Short drive from city centre, on bitumen road up hill, presented a great view of city & surrounds including various mines. There are a number of story boards up there that explain the history of the fresh water pipeline & pump houses. Was really informative although some of the story boards are hard to read. Free, plenty of parking, easy stroll. If you can visit.
This gives you a good photo opportunity of Kalgoorlie and the northern mine sites. Nothing much else here, but a good stop on a tour of the town.
Amazing history here of how water was connected to Kalgoorlie and surrounds. worth a trip to see this and the engineering feats to create it. Good view over Kalgoorlie and surrounds.
Great Lookout in Kalgoorlie overlooking the town and sections of the mining industry..Nice uphill walk from car park and there were native birds feeding on the native flora plants..
