HW7J+WHJ, Samdach Sothearos Blvd (3), Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Beautiful and cultural place, very vivid park scene in front. The traffic leading to the Pavilion may get busy with rush hour, there lots of near by cafes and eateries as-well.
A beautiful structure that sits between the majestic Royal Palace of Cambodia and the busy riverside park of Phnom Penh. After a recent extensive rehabilitation work, the building looks amazing. The Pavilion is perhaps the most visible building within the Royal Palace complex as it sits prominently overlooking the Royal Palace Park by Preah Sisowath Quay. If you are in the area during sunset, you may be lucky to view the sun setting behind the Pavilion. Sometimes, there are performers in beautiful traditional costumes close by. I have also witnessed graduates from a local university having photo sessions by the Pavilion. Whatever the occasion, the beauty of this exquisite structure will be a stand-out.

The Preah Tineang Chan Chhaya (ព្រះទីនាំងច័ន្ទឆាយា) or "Moonlight Pavilion", is an open-air pavilion that serves as stage for Khmer classical dance in the past and present. It is one of the most notable buildings of the palace as it easily seen from the outside as it was built alongside a section of the palace walls. The Pavilion has a balcony that was used as a platform for viewing parades marching along Sothearos Boulevard of Phnom Penh. Most recently, the Pavilion was used for a banquet and a tribune for the new King at the 2004 coronation of King Norodom Sihamoni. Viewing the pavilion can be seen from both outside and inside the Royal Palace. Therefore, if you have no plan of entering the Royal Palace. No ticket is needed to see the pavilion. By securing a ticket, you couldn't entering the pavilion as well from the inside but you will get a closer look of it.
Great view. Recommend!
