It's one of the best Parks in the city. It's better than Union Square Park, and Washington Square Park, has two Dog Runs one for little dogs and the other for bigger dogs, there's lot of events that go on there, live music at times, but just a beautiful place to sit have lunch or sit with friends.
This park is a gem. It offers a respite from the busy city. The park gets drenched in the sunlight making it a perfect spot in winter mornings and spring. Well maintained with pretty flowers and seasonal art installations. It has its own cozy looking shake shack with exclusively outdoor seating. Children's and dog's park present. The energy of the park is lively, casual in perfect congruency with the city. The park has multiple chairs and benches, don't worry, you will get to sit.
Nice parkin the city with a seating area also playground. Shake shack are in the park with seating area to eat. Really love this park,Enjoy!
An oasis in a busy area with plenty of benches and tables to sit for a bit. :) We stopped by after waiting in line at Salswee. It was nice to just sit a minute and people watch. We stopped at the Flatiron Nomad turf area at first - an island seating area on the main road. We could hear music coming from the left and decided to follow it. :) The park is beautiful- it’s full of benches, there is a lush lawn, there are performers, a bee garden, 2 dog parks for both small and large dogs. There are several statues scattered throughout the park. The park is maintained by the Madison Square Park Conservancy. They have a staff member walking around as well- he was helpful to tourists and sharing information about the views. There is a Shake Shack in the park and plenty of other fast food places close by. This is a perfect spot to bring your treats from Levain or Salswee, sit down for a bit and enjoy. :) We enjoyed our time at the park very much- it was a special stop. :) much appreciation to all the folk working hard to maintain this oasis in New York City. :)
This is probably my favorite smaller but still impressive mid city parks. I walked over from my hotel in the early part of the day and immediately went from smelling the city streets to the scent of freshly cut grass. There's constantly live music and it's just perfectly big enough to feel like you're out of the city, and I absolutely love the large trees Throughout. Definitely worth stopping by
