Sri Lanka
Lanka Ella is a hidden gem surrounded by lush greenery and serene nature. The waterfall cascades beautifully, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. The trek to the falls is scenic, but a bit challenging, making it perfect for adventure lovers. The untouched beauty of the place adds to its charm, offering a great escape from city life. Ideal for nature enthusiasts and photographers, but visitors should be mindful of slippery rocks and changing water levels. A must-visit for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty in Sri Lanka!
Lanka Ella Falls is a very beautiful place in Kalupahana, about 2 km from Bambarakanda Falls. The area is full of green trees and nice views. I went there for rappelling, and it was very fun and exciting. It’s a great place for people who love adventure and nature. You can also go for a short walk and relax. I really enjoyed my visit!
I visited Lanka Ella for a waterfall abseiling training and was absolutely stunned by the natural beauty of the place. The hike to the waterfall takes you through a breathtaking landscape, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. The abseiling experience itself was thrilling, and after that, I took a dip in the waterfall. Although the water is extremely cold, it's incredibly refreshing! However, I wouldn't recommend swimming here unless you're a strong swimmer or have a life jacket, as safety can be a concern. Even if you're not into abseiling or swimming, Lanka Ella is still well worth a visit for its serene environment and picturesque trails. A must-visit spot for nature lovers!
Lanka Ella is one of those hidden spots that feels like your own little discovery. Just a short hike through peaceful forest trails, and you’re greeted with a beautiful, quiet waterfall that’s not crowded at all. The natural pool at the base is perfect for a refreshing swim, and if you're into a bit of adventure, abseiling down the fall is an option too. It’s close to Bambarakanda, but feels much more untouched. The calm atmosphere, clear water, and stunning view make it totally worth the visit. A great place to relax, explore, and enjoy nature at its best.
Managed to get a bird's eye view from the Weliwanguwa bend on the Ohiya/ Kalupahana Road. But even from afar, the falls looked so beautiful, I have decided to have a closer look and explore the surrounding areas very soon.
