Well-organized museum saying the historical details of Switzerland! Many of the exhibitions are interactive and allow you to touch and really “feel” them! The approximate visiting time is around 1 to 2 hours!

I love this place and I make sure to visit every time I'm in Zurich. Interesting exhibitions, modern facilities inside an old building that looks absolutely gorgeous. Especially if there's good weather, going there to learn about the history of Switzerland and then lying on the lawn outside in the sun is a perfect way to spend a few hours.

The glass-cased exhibits are beautifully displayed/organised to maximise visual impact. The historic location is beautiful. I'm not sure what I think of the concrete addition, but it's a lovely museum to visit if you get the chance. The museum bistro is also a great place for a light lunch and a coffee once you've done the tour. Enjoy.

Has a big ring collection. Current temporary exhibition is on techno culture, which is quite interesting. Went here a second time to take photos of the ring collection too—a museum personnel was nice enough to help lead me to it! :)

Must-Visit with the Zürich Card I had the pleasure of visiting the Swiss National Museum (Landesmuseum Zürich) during my trip to Zürich—and even better, I got in for free with the Zürich Card! The museum is located right next to the main train station, making it incredibly convenient. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the seamless blend of a stunning historic building and modern architecture. The exhibitions are beautifully curated, covering everything from medieval artifacts and Swiss cultural history to contemporary issues. I especially enjoyed the sections on Swiss traditions, the evolution of design, and the interactive displays that brought the country's rich heritage to life. The museum does a fantastic job of making history accessible and engaging, even if you're not a history buff. The signage is available in multiple languages, including English, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's easy to spend a couple of hours here, and there's also a lovely café if you want to take a break.
