Straits Court Comdominium, 07000 Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia
This is the main location where all the catamaran tours start. The jetty itself is very nice and well set-up. There's a shop and cafe area leading up to the main jetty area. All the catamaran tour operators have tables set up near these restaurants. You'll find them all setup side by side. The tours all start from this place. You'll go one storey down to get to the main jetty, and then head towards your respective catamaran. The jetty is open to enter during operating hours.
While going there, the jetty area felt a bit too crowded and slightly unorganized, which gave me a mixed first impression. But during the return trip, I was truly impressed. Everything in Malaysia is so well-organized and neat — it honestly felt like I was visiting an airport! On the way back, I took a ferry operated by Sani Company. Their service was truly impressive and praiseworthy. From boarding to the entire journey, everything was smooth and comfortable. After reaching the jetty, trolleys were readily available, and the best part is — they can be taken all the way to the roadside. That small convenience made a big difference and showed how thoughtfully everything is arranged.
Iconic 12m eagle statue with stunning sea views, just a short walk from Kuah Jetty. Perfect for quick photos and a relaxing stroll. Well-maintained, free entry, great for sunset shots. Limited activities beyond sightseeing, but a must-visit for Langkawi first-timers. Nearby food stalls at Jetty Point are a bonus!
Amazed to see such a well maintained jetty which seemed no less than a mall. Big brands such as roosters, subway etc to have from . Also they have local shops to buy souvenirs. Lots of parking. One can book the local sunset cruise here.
Airport like experience. If you are a tourist and stayed for 3 days or more - you can carry 1 liter each alcohol. More than that or stay of less than 3 days attract penalties and fines upto 150% of value depending on alcohol content. For beers still cheaper than penang. But do your maths. Also, there are couple of ATMs also inside if you wish to withdraw cash. There are few shops as well but they generally open post 8 am. You can book tickets at local cuticuti site.
