Interesting memorabilia from the Dutch Colonial. A bridge that originally built by the Englishman, got burnt, built again by the Dutch, destroyed by the flood. Built again. This bridge is a tiny piece of example of bridges that existed in that time. This bridge can be opened to let boat passes. Like what they have in The Netherlands canals
One of my favorite land mark every time i go cycle around Kota Tua (Batavia Old Town) district. The only one left old bridge that once connect the Dutch and England Fort in 1628. Do take a picture here while you can, while it is still there ?
Visited this place at dusk, and it was quite beautiful. We were the only visitors, the rest were local people who were having some rest. It has a dock to take pictures of the bridge, Mercure Batavia Hotel, and the city.
Very nice to see the bridge with the name of our (Dutch) then Queen Juliana in Jakarta. This is a typical Dutch Bridge and I don't if we still have a bridge like this in the Netherlands
