This is one of my favourite museums I've ever visited. It feels like you get two museums in one. The aircraft carrier itself is spectacular, and they've allowed the public to have really exceptional access to a huge amount of the ship. The information on how it operated and how it was used is really interesting and presented in various exciting ways. The aircraft for me are the stars of the show. An A12, Harrier, F16 amongst other all on display. The Space Shuttle is truly magnificent, I can honestly say I had never seen anything remotely like it before. I paid for the additional ticket to get into Concord. I've visited another Concord in the UK, and the experience was quite similar, but always worth it. The guide was really informative and had some great photos to support what he was telling us. He was super keen to answer people's questions.

This museum is super cool. So many displays including fighter jets! Very intriguing information about the fighter jets. Very relaxing on the main deck of you want to just sit down and watch the view. Staff were helpful and friendly. Love the part where you could interact and play with some of the displays. My son took a major liking to them all. I was able to book my ticket in advance and also receive a discount because I live in NY.

What an incredible experience at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum! From the moment we stepped onto the massive aircraft carrier, it felt like we were transported into a living history book. The displays are phenomenal—fighter jets, the Concorde, the Space Shuttle Enterprise, and even a full submarine! ✈️?⚓️ We loved how interactive everything was. My kids had a blast trying the hands-on exhibits—especially the retro communication station and flight controls. Staff were super friendly and informative, always eager to answer questions with a smile. The Concorde tour was a highlight: sitting in the first-class cabin while learning about its supersonic legacy was unforgettable. It’s spacious, accessible, and well-signed for self-guided exploration. Expect to spend at least 3-4 hours to do it justice—there’s just so much to see and learn. Booking tickets in advance saved us time, and we appreciated the discount for local residents. Whether you’re a military history buff, aviation geek, or just looking for a family-friendly day out, this museum hits the mark. Highly recommend visiting early to beat the crowd. A fun way to spend some time learning about how air craft carriers work. Make sure to take some time to read about each exhibit. Lots of cool photo opportunities. They stamped my passport book at the information desk, so don’t forget to bring yours. The staff is very friendly and will answer any questions you may have. Highly recommend for families with kids, lots of activities and room for them to explore. I recommend buying tickets in advance so you don’t have to wait in line for a long time. Restrooms are decent.

I visited the Intrepid Museum with my family using the CityPASS, and it was such a great experience! The pass made everything super easy and convenient, and the museum itself was one of the highlights of our trip. Exploring the aircraft carrier was incredible , there’s so much to see, from historic planes and helicopters to the space shuttle Enterprise. It’s really impressive, and there’s a great balance between fun, education, and history. Even if you’re not a big military or aviation expert, the experience is immersive and fascinating. We loved how interactive and well-organized everything was, and it’s definitely family-friendly. A perfect activity for all ages, especially if you’re looking to do something unique in NYC beyond the usual landmarks. I totally recommend.
