Wrapped up in culture, a really interesting visit. The museum was super informative and showcased the broad life of Ho Chi Minh in a way where I never lost interest. A guide called Diamond showed us around and gave a huge amount of context to what we were seeing. She was amazing, so I would definitely recommend taking up the offer of having a guide around the museum. 100% would go!
Interesting museum about an interesting historical figure. As anticipated, it is glorifying both Ho Chi Minh and the Communist ideology, but what would you expect in a place like this? Still, the way his life is presented is quite entertaining. If you enjoy seeing historical figures and events from a perspective not necessarily your own, this museum is a must-see when in Hanoi.
Interesting museum which documents and showcases the life of Ho Chi Minh, and his contributions to Vietnam. Exhibits were intricate and thoughtful, almost as if it's telling a story as you walk through the museum. Worth the entrance fee. Do note that the museum closes at 4.30pm on operating days. Visited in April 2025.
The Ho Chi Minh Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the life and legacy of one of Vietnam’s most iconic leaders. The exhibits are well-organized, covering everything from his early life to the revolutionary struggle and post-independence period. The building itself is beautiful and symbolic, with thoughtful architecture and design. Most signs include English translations, making it easy for international visitors to follow along. Plan to spend 1–2 hours here if you want to fully appreciate the displays. A great place to understand Vietnam’s rich and complex history.
Displayed stories of Ho Chi Minh during war time, and the various items that were used during that time. There were a lot of local visitors, such as students and families when I visited on 3 June, maybe is their school holidays during that time as well. Had a souvenir shop that sells items at decent prices for most of them.
