Golden Global Vipassana Pagoda – A Mesmerizing Experience

Visiting the Golden Global Vipassana Pagoda on 1st December 2023, for my husband’s birthday, was a surreal experience. Having admired it from afar for so long, seeing it up close was truly breathtaking.

The sheer size and beauty of the pagoda left us in awe. The intricate details, the stunning architecture, and the peaceful surroundings made the visit incredibly special. The golden structure gleamed under the sunlight, radiating a serene and spiritual aura. As a center for meditation, it radiated a profound sense of peace.

Exploring the area was a delight, and we couldn’t resist picking up coasters and goodies from the pagoda shops as souvenirs. The whole experience was tranquil, enriching, and unforgettable.

Interesting place two hours drive outside of Mumbai City.
There is no entrance fee, they ask for donations. If you want to visit you need to cover your shoulder and feed. If you want to enter buildings you have to go bar-feet.
Outside this impressive building there are a lot of dogs who appreciate it if you bring some dog goodies and feed them.
For us it was an opportunity to drive out of the city and do some sightseeing.
