3.5 stars About 6 minutes walk from King Alfred Park MRT station. A part of Rail Corridor. Free admission. Very tranquil. Some people sleep there. See the information through the gate. Come to see if you have spare time around there.

The former Bukit Timah Railway Station is a historic railway station in Singapore that was part of the KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu) railway line connecting Singapore and Malaysia. It was built in 1903 and served as a key stop along the railway until it ceased operations in 2011 when the railway land was returned to Singapore. Key Facts about Bukit Timah Railway Station: Location: Along Bukit Timah Road, near King Albert Park. Architecture: A charming colonial-style station with a small station building, a signal room, and old railway tracks. Closure: It stopped operations on July 1, 2011, when Malaysia handed over the railway land to Singapore as part of a land-swap agreement. Current Status: Restored and reopened as part of the Rail Corridor, a green heritage trail that follows the old railway track. Attractions: Visitors can see the restored station building, railway tracks, and old signals, making it a nostalgic and scenic spot for history and nature lovers.

Other than the heat, it was wonderful to see part of the old railway station, together with the tracks on the ground. Always would recommend stopping by and snapping a few pictures here before continuing along the rail corridor.
