Ok this place is amazing. Massive complex, beautiful gardens, immaculately clean and peaceful. Aside from the museum, be sure to check out the area just to the left of the entrance with the shrine. Very steep climb though, but worth it since nobody really goes there. Lots of it is under construction but still wonderful. Only issue I had was getting there and back using public transportation. Bus 8010 was not as convenient as it sounds. Ended up using Uber from the nearest train station to get there, and then it stopped at an orange line station instead of heading to Kaoshiung station. Planned to stay for an hour or so, ended up spending over half a day. So nice. They also have some food spots on site as well.

Absolute worth the trip to visit this amazing place of worship. Caught the E 02Hafo express from Zuoying station platform 3. A quick 30 min drive on the highway. Make sure to queue as bus can only take seated travellers. No standing permitted. Have lunch, have tea, sit in the gardens, shop in the stores, embrace the beautiful energy of this place. Spending an hour or a day, or even return. Absolutely worth it.

A huge, sprawling complex with a lot to see. We spent about 4 hours walking around and the visit still felt rushed. Part A is the main newer part. Part B was closed for renovation. Part C is more academic, residential & administrative building. The Garden of Buddha was the best part in C.

We did not buy a ticket for the entrance. A bus ride cost NT$77 going there. Don't forget to make sure thst your easycard is loaded for the fare back and forth as there's no loading station/convenience store at the museum.

The place was beautiful. It’s a huge temple so be ready for some walking. There’s a viewing deck at the end for an overhead of the whole place. Overall a great addition to your itinerary.
