【法海寺】?

法海寺是中國全國重點文物保護單位之一。

法海寺為四進院落，
金剛殿東西分別為鐘鼓樓，
大雄寶殿前月台兩側有兩棵古白皮松，
樹齡皆逾千年，
可謂京城之最。

大雄寶殿內原有三世佛、
十八羅漢、大黑天及李童供養像，
皆於文革期間被毀。
大殿牆上繪有許多明代壁畫，
這些壁畫具有很高的藝術價值，
法海寺也因此聞名。

逛完到大街「瑤家小院」
喝手打檸檬茶，很怡神。

【Fahai Temple】?

Fahai Temple is one of China's national key cultural relics protection units.

Fahai Temple is a courtyard with four entrances.
There are bell and drum towers on the east and west sides of the King Kong Hall.
There are two ancient white pine trees on both sides of the platform in front of the Main Hall.
The trees are all over a thousand years old.
It can be said to be the best in Beijing.

In the main hall, there were originally three Buddhas,
The statues of Eighteen Arhats, Mahakala and Li Tong,
All were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution.
There are many Ming Dynasty murals painted on the walls of the main hall.

法海寺位於北京市西石景山區模式口翠微山南麓。寺建於明代太監李童。屬密宗寺廟。以大雄寶殿壁畫著名。壁畫描繪二十諸天禮佛。人物眾多，栩栩如生。筆法細膩，纖毫畢現，一絲不苟，細節如狐耳毛細血管、白象星星淚光等等，真實靈巧。水月觀音的輕紗真的讓人感覺薄薄輕紗披在畫身上。輕紗由無數六菱細花網脈而成，每菱花瓣皆由48根金線組成，造成輕與質的立體感覺。壁畫很多地方呈現質感厚度立體感覺，便是運用瀝粉堆金、叠暈烘染技法。壁畫原來濃麗色彩，依然保持。這與畫師採用天然礦石顏料和泥層(地仗)結構有關。
壁畫要參加導賞團才能參觀。全程20分鐘。導賞員講解。全程緊湊，信息量大。難免有走馬看花之感，但物有所值。大殿全黑。導賞員和參觀者都獲發手電筒。其實依著導賞員電筒燈指照講解已足夠，參觀者的手電燈光反而會擾亂。大雄寶殿內不能拍照。而在葯師殿內複製了原壁畫，可以拍攝。法海寺依山麓而建。不大而清幽。天王殿外院庭有碑記述法海寺歷史，大雄寶殿前置兩棵千年白皮松。
2022年法海寺門票:20元。壁畫100元。可微信網上預約或寺門售票處掃碼(先預約，後取票)。售票處工作人員友善。
法海寺地處京西古道，而模式口古稱磨石口，明清時期是運煤進京必經之地；這裏亦是餵養駱駝的集中地。老舍筆下的駱駝祥子，取得駱駝的情節便在這裏發生。除法海寺外，模式口這有太監田義墓、第四紀冰川遺蹟陳到列館等。
交通:地鐵金安橋站走約半小時到達模式口。

Fahai Temple is located at the southern foot of Cuiwei Mountain at Mokou, Xishijingshan District, Beijing. The temple was built by Li Tong, an eunuch in the Ming Dynasty. It is a Tantric temple. It is famous for the murals in the Main Hall. The mural depicts twenty heavens worshiping Buddha. There are many characters and they are lifelike. The brushwork is exquisite, showing every detail, and is meticulous. Details such as the capillaries of fox ears, the tears of stars on white elephants, etc. are real and dexterous. The gauze of Shuiyue Guanyin really makes people feel like a thin gauze is draped on the painting. The gauze is made of countless six-diamond fine flower network veins, and each diaphragm petal is composed of 48 gold threads, creating a three-dimensional feeling of lightness and texture. Many places in the murals present a thick and three-dimensional texture, which is achieved by using the techniques of stacking gold with powder and stacking and baking. The original rich colors of the murals are still maintained. This is related to the painter's use of natural mineral pigments and mud layer (ground battle) structure.
You can only visit the murals by joining a guided tour. The whole journey takes 20 minutes. The guide explains. The whole process is compact and informative. It's hard to avoid feeling like you're just looking at the flowers, but it's worth the money. The hall is completely dark. Docents and visitors are given flashlights. In fact, it is enough to explain according to the guide's flashlight, but the visitor's flashlight will be disruptive. Photography is not allowed inside the Main Hall. The original murals are reproduced in the Yakushiden Hall and can be photographed. Fahai Temple is built at the foot of the mountain. Small and quiet. There is a stele in the courtyard outside Tianwang Hall describing the history of Fahai Temple. There are two thousand-year-old white pine trees in front of the Main Hall.
Tickets for Fahai Temple in 2022: 20 yuan. Mural 100 yuan. You can make an appointment online via WeChat or scan the QR code at the temple ticket office (make an appointment first, then pick up the ticket). The ticket office staff are friendly.
Fahai Temple is located on the ancient road to the west of Beijing, and the Model Gate was called Moshikou in ancient times. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the only place where coal was transported to Beijing; it was also a centralized place for feeding camels. In Lao She's "Camel Xiangzi", the plot of obtaining the camel happened here. In addition to Fahai Temple, there are also the tomb of the eunuch Tian Yi and the Quaternary Glacier Relics Museum.
Transportation: It takes about half an hour to walk from Jin'anqiao Metro Station to the mode exit.
