820, Taiwan, Kaohsiung City, Gangshan District, 大莊路80巷
This place is well worth the effort needed to get to it. On that subject forget about the scuttle bus apparently it was stopped last year. There is a taxi service or a long walk up a steep hill. I opted for the taxi. Once you get there Wow the viewing platform alone makes the visit worthwhile then there the views. They are epic. If you have an interest in military history there are several undamaged gun emplacements to saunter around. There is also the now essential glass paving to tentatively stand on.
3 years ago o visited this place and now coming back to this place is still the same. Place are amazing during sunset but they need to close by 18:00 and you cannot go upstairs. With 80ntd entrance fee to get in there. Some store you can buy downstairs for souvenirs and food.
You can get in for free if you are older then 65 years old. The full price tickets cost $60 NTD. Which I think it is fair. Every it may only take you five minutes to go up and take few photos. No vehicle are allowed to drive up there due to the reason of they have a very small parking lot for about 15 cars. But there is a shuttle bus takes you to and from the site. It is a great place to view the city under and the A gong Dian reservoir near by. I believe the night time view eill be even more spectacular.
The place is very beautiful. One suggestion is to not do it with a cab because there is no way to return other than your own car or cab ( which is hard to get).
Views are amazing but not for elderly. There is a bus you need to ride going to the exact place. There is a fee of 25 NTD per ride, you can use your easycard
