Beautiful spot in kings park. Close to front, lovely wildflowers toilets close by. Great picnic area. Watch out for the kookaburra though, they steal the food right off your plate.
I visited the Pioneer Women’s Memorial on a Saturday, and it was a lovely experience. The serene water feature and lush surroundings make it a perfect spot to relax, and many people were enjoying the calm atmosphere. The memorial is beautifully designed, honoring the strength and contributions of women pioneers. It’s also conveniently close to the Everlasting Garden, which is a short walk away and well worth visiting, especially during wildflower season. A great place to unwind and appreciate a bit of history and nature.
The Pioneer Women’s Memorial is a beautiful tribute featuring water elements, a fountain, well-kept gardens, and a statue of a woman. Sponsored by the Country Women’s Association and other women’s organisations, it symbolizes the vital role women played in the development of the State. Established by a committee in 1963, it stands as a lasting symbol of their contribution. There’s convenient parking nearby, and the surrounding lawns are perfect for a peaceful stroll.
It was a wonderful experience, sitting on a clean grass beneath tree shade and then observing sequential sprouting of water from the fountain.
Wonderful! Peaceful place! Cool even during sunny day
