Best time of the year to see the wildflowers. Yellow is the colour this year! We would highly recommend the Coalseam Plateau walk (about 3.8km) from the Miner's car park.
Wildflower season this year is amazing, and Coalseam Park is probably the best place to experience them.
The whole park was covered in everlasting pom pom. We spent 45 minutes driving around the park and it was gorgeous everywhere we looked. Unsealed road was a challenge for 2WD and I don’t recommend going there right after heavy rain.
Sooo many flies in September. But the carpets of beautiful yellow everlastings were worth it. The Fossil Picnic area and Irwin's Lookout (separate pin drops) were fun to explore!
This is my second visit to Coalseam and so glad to see the area with the wildflowers in bloom. It really is a beautiful place. As you walk along the river bed, the scenery changes so much.
