587, 10 Kamphaeng Phet 2 Rd, Khwaeng Chatuchak, Chatuchak, Bangkok 10900, Thailand
Visited the place for the first time on 1st Feb 2025 with my daughter. We took a Grab from the hotel to the market at 9:30 am, which was a 30-minute drive. The volume of visitors is still low in the morning, making it the best time to visit, as more visitors come in the afternoons. The entrance welcomes you with the iconic poster of the place, a safe walkway for pedestrians, and a map of the markets. Inside, there are thousands of shops, a food market, massage services, and cafes. There are also several Halal food stalls selling fried rice, beef noodles, and seafood tom yam. The place is awesome! The prices of items vary and are negotiable, so you need to bargain with the sellers. It's definitely a place not to be missed when visiting Bangkok, and yes, definitely worth revisiting again and again! We had a fun time at the place. The Thai people were so friendly, soft-spoken, and gracious! Love you, Thailand!
Another popular tourist destination that only opens on weekends. Since it's popular on YouTube, it attracts lots of tourists. The outside area is filled with numerous clothing shops, and you can find food stalls among them as well. There's also a plaza. Inside the plaza, you'll find a food court and more shops. We visited in April, and it was hot, so it's a good idea to bring a water bottle with you. This is a particularly good place if you're interested in buying antiques and souvenirs.
These markets are huge and full of everything you need and more. You will get some great bargains and some really top notch items. There are a number of small bars and restaurants when you need a break. You will need more than an hour to explore, so take your time and enjoy.
The best of the street markets in Thailand, though I know those who love Chinatown may disagree with me. Such a well laid out plan that it makes it easier to focus your attention where you want to shop. Beautifully, none of the shopkeepers were pushy or invasive. If you see my review of Pratunum, you'll understand why I appreciate it so much. However short on time you are, don't miss the air conditioned section of the market at the interior. It has some great shops and good deals. Right outside it are the food stalls so you can combine that.
