I was very impressed with the zoo! For being in the middle of NYC, you feel like you’re not there while at the zoo! The exhibits they offer are very unique. The zoo was clean and well maintained when we went. The food at the zoo’s cafe was reasonably priced. We took about an hour to get through the zoo’s exhibits. Definitely a must do if going through Central Park.

This park is located within Central Park. While smaller than some zoos, it's surprisingly large. There's also a small children's museum where kids can feed some of the animals. Tickets are required for both. I recommend visiting the larger park first and obtaining a re-entry stamp. We really enjoyed the day and it was so nice and sunny!!

Loved the zoo. Some of the exhibits were closed for repairs. Also. I personally think not enough of a wide variety of animals are here. And the park isn't as expensive as I thought it would be. But overall very good experience. The animals were hiding most of my visit though

one of the neatest zoos I’ve ever been too. There are not many exhibits, but the ones there are, are amazing. Especially the bears and the seals. The bears get fed by the staff and it’s awesome to watch. The seals do a show everyone once in a while. It’s great for kids, as every zoo should be and I highly suggest this for any tourist or local who hasn’t been.

The Central Park Zoo is a charming little escape right in the heart of Manhattan. It’s not the biggest zoo you’ll visit, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in atmosphere and quality. Nestled within Central Park, it’s a peaceful spot where you can see everything from snow leopards to sea lions without needing an entire day. The layout is compact and easy to navigate, which makes it great for families with small children or for anyone looking to add a short, meaningful experience to their day in the city. The sea lion feedings are a highlight, and the Tropic Zone — with its free-flying birds and lush greenery — is especially fun to walk through. There’s also a small children’s zoo nearby where kids can feed goats and sheep, which adds to the hands-on experience. While it’s not a destination zoo like the Bronx Zoo, it’s perfect for what it is: a quick, well-kept, and thoughtfully designed oasis in the middle of urban hustle.
