Ratchadaphisek Rd, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand
This park is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. You wouldn’t expect such tranquility amidst the urban hustle, but once inside, it’s a completely different world. The park features a scenic 5K loop perfect for a single lap or multiple rounds, with well-maintained paths, varied elevations, and plenty of picturesque spots. Whether you’re looking to run, take photos, have a picnic, or simply reflect in peace, this park has something for everyone. If you’re staying near the main street, it’s just a short 1.5 km walk. Bike rentals are available in the morning, but they go fast—so arrive early. A perfect escape from the city’s noise.
Benchakitti Park - just a couple of minutes from Asok BTS / Sukhumvit MRT stations, to name just a few. The park offers different experiences throughout the day - the elevated walkways provide unique perspectives of the surrounding greenery and cityscape, separate lanes for cyclists and pedestrians, well-maintained exercise areas, and plenty of resting spots. The new forest section adds a wild, natural feel that’s rare in central Bangkok. The connection to Lumpini Park via the Green Bridge makes it possible to enjoy an extended green corridor in the middle of the city. Best visited early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat.
With my flight delayed, I took a short walk—just a 15 minutes from The Continent Hotel and Asok Station—to explore Benchakitti Park. What a hidden gem in the middle of Bangkok! The lush greenery, wide running and biking tracks, and a scenic lake filled with fish and turtles made it the perfect place to unwind. Clean, quiet, and beautifully designed, it is ideal for a morning jog or a calming stroll. It is definitely a great spot to spend some downtime.
Plenty of activities and the park is well-maintained. Great place for jogging, biking, or just relaxing. The weather in Bangkok is hot and humid, even with trees. I recommend coming before 8.30 or after 17.00 when it’s cooler and there’s more shade. Bring water and stay hydrated. Been here many times and always enjoy the peaceful vibe. Perfect for solo visits or family outings. There’s also a gym to play pickle ball and other sports.
I really love this park—it makes Bangkok feel like such a livable city, and this whole district becomes even more charming with its huge green space. Benchakitti Park has everything: a big pond where you can rent those leg-paddle duck boats, sports areas for badminton and skateboarding, and of course, a great running track which is what most people come for. But the real highlight is the view at night. The walking path lights up beautifully, and you get this stunning contrast of nature with the city skyline—the skyscrapers surrounding the park look amazing from here. It’s honestly one of my favorite places in Bangkok.
