A fascinating place to visit if you are interested in the dolls and some culture of Thailand - but it is not an attraction for everybody and not easy to find.
A charming little place. This place is quite hard to find since it is located in a nondescript alley of a residential area. The brown signage of the usual Bangkok landmarks is also covered by an overgrown bamboo tree. Had to call the owner via the number posted on the door for the museum to be opened. Inside is a large collection of traditional Thai dolls created artistically and painstakingly with every glittering detail. Also houses a large collection of international dolls. You can see the place in 30 minutes. Best of all, entrance is free. The place is a bit run-down and not very well-maintained due to the off beaten location but as someone who appreciates art and craftsmanship, this place is nice. They also sell dolls with glass cases, figurines, canvass sheets of puppets and keychains. If you want an authentic Thai souvenir, this is the place.
One of the most underrated shop. I loved it. The place has a very good collection of dolls of great quality. Bought the bangkok's traditional prince and princess dance doll. Surprised to know that it is fully made of cloth. Be aware that this place is not like any other shop with open gates. Please get the appointment booked before going and you wouldn't regret.
Great place with a very smart and polite owner. It was an interesting experience and the gentleman told us lots of pretty interesting and educating thing. The place is full of history and craft. Strongly recommended!
