3. Unwind at The Lemon Tree’s indoor garden experience

When The Lemon Tree first hit the cafe scene in April of this year, it immediately became a local favourite for its brightly lit glasshouse-like interiors and of course, the tropical lemon trees littered around. Now, in its newly launched second outlet in the five-star lifestyle hotel Park Royal Collection Kuala Lumpur, you can experience this cheery sunshine aesthetic in a more luxurious flair.

The cafe’s interiors scream ‘majestic tropical escapism’ with its rattan and wooden furniture, lush greeneries from the lemon trees, splashes of yellow and wide windows that welcome the sunshine. The best part is that you can enjoy this outdoor-to-indoor dining experience with The Lemon Tree’s new selection of sourdough bake crusts exclusively served in Park Royal Collection KL. You can also expect savoury delights such as Yes! Cheese that comes with five types of cheeses, from zesty Artichoke and Mushroom to sweeter fillings such as Nutella and Macadamia.

5. Reminisce the COVID-19 pandemic at Ilham Gallery’s Projek 555 exhibition

The two years of the COVID-19 pandemic have changed a lot of lives and while no one wants to relive it, it is quite a significant event in our lives. To look back at the past two years, visit the Projek 555, a collection of everyday observations and reflections in the form of a mini visual diary. At the end of 2020, and again in 2021, Malaysia Design Archive issued an open invitation where for a month, anyone who wanted to participate would receive a 555 notebook by mail to journal whatever they liked, however way they chose to. The idea was to create a space for pause, contemplation and connection through distance. Now, you can read the journals at Ilham Gallery. The project is in collaboration with Malaysia Design Archive. Booklet reproduction support from Ana Tomy.

When: 16 August - 11 December2022

Address: Ilham Gallery, Levels 3 and 5, Ilham Tower, 8, Lrg Binjai, Kuala Lumpur, 50450 Kuala Lumpur
