Big Bowls Project - a muslim-owned stall - has recently opened at Amoy Street Food Centre. We know how hard it is to find a variety of halal food in the CBD area, so this is definitely great news!

P.S. If you're racking your brains on what to eat in the CBD, there are lots of cheap and yummy stalls which you can find to satisfy your cravings.

Halal Japanese rice bowls are already hard to come by but to find it in a hawker centre is like a dream come true ? Big Bowls Project is still in their pre-launch stage with only 4 items in their menu but its opening has brought snaking queues to the stall.

Grab a bite of their Mentaiko Salmon which is a crowd favourite. Fresh Norwegian salmon and mentaiko (fish roe) is slow-torched before it’s served. At just $8.90, this is definitely a steal. Another dish that you should not miss is their appetising Szechuan Black Bean Salmon Bowl which is inspired by traditional Chinese recipes ?

P.S. If you need more awesome hawker stalls like Big Bowls Project, there are plenty of halal eateries in Singapore which are affordable and just as good as restaurants!

If you prefer something less strong, their Big Bowls Homemade Recipe will be perfect for you as it has just a slight taste of sesame - but it will still satisfy your taste buds. Truffle lovers would also take delight in their Truffle Oil salmon bowl.

The best part is, you can indulge in their salmon bowls guilt-free as they use brown rice instead of white rice. So, no excuse to not eat healthily now!

Big Bowls Project is also looking to expand their menu and even starting deliveries, so do keep a look out for them.

#HHWT Tip: Big Bowls is only open during lunch time on weekdays, so do queue early to avoid disappointment!
