There’s a brand-new halal French fusion cafe near Singapore’s popular Arab Street that’s opening its doors just in time for the long weekend! ? The White Label is officially opening on 24 Dec 2020, Thursday and we’re so excited for their French-local fusion menu and Instagram-worthy interior too.

P.S. Call +65 82022358 to make reservations for your long weekend treat!

The founders of The White Label noticed a lack of halal French cuisine in Singapore, so they decided to put their own spin on it by infusing French cuisine with local flavours. Make sure to try their signature Fusion Pasta which include dishes like Squid Ink Spaghetti ($26) made with their in-house fragrant ‘Sotong Masak Hitam’ sauce. The sauce is made with fresh squid ink and infused with spices including lemongrass, shallots, and chilli for a local twist! Topped with mussels, prawns, and finished Monte Au Beurre style for a creamy and butter aftertaste - seafood lovers won’t be able to resist. ? Other fusion pasta dishes include the TWL Prawn Pappardelle ($26) topped with grilled tiger prawns and a lobster bisque reduction, and Smoked Duck Spaghetti ($22) with smoked duck wanton, char siew duck, and homemade ‘wanton mee’ sauce!

P.S. If you dine in on Saturday (9.30AM-10.30PM) or Sunday (9.30AM-9.30PM) there's a special brunch menu too!

The menu also includes heartier mains if you’re not a big fan of pasta. The Herb Crusted Lamb Rack ($38) is a must-try for sure, featuring a herb-crusted French-trimmed lamb rack, mustard sauce, mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. The lamb rack is trimmed 1 day in advance and marinated in a spice mix for 2 hours to infuse it with flavour. To prevent the meat from drying out, the lamb racks are only coated in their in-house herb mix, seared, and then roasted upon order! ? There’s even TWL Duck Confit ($32) with garlic duck confit, and a slow-cooked Short Ribs Bourguignon ($32) topped with homemade sweet and spicy sauce.

P.S. Pair it with sides like the TWL Vol-Au-Vent ($14) which pays homage to a familiar local dish - Kueh Pie Tee! French-style duck rillette (a creamy savoury spread made from duck fat) and fork-tender pulled beef are placed into a kueh pie tee shell and topped with serunding and in-house chilli belado. ?

Even if your appetite isn’t ready for a full meal yet, The White Label’s selection of desserts are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth! Opt for something tangy and refreshing with the Tarte Au Citron Vert ($11) - a classic French pastry dessert made with homemade Key Lime Curd, daily baked Almond Tart, and a Forest Fruit Sorbet. It’s a great palate cleanser after a hearty meal! ? Or sink your teeth into locally-inspired treats like Creme Brulee A L’Pandan ($10) topped with rich orange custard, dessicated coconut, and honey and fig gelato - or Ondeh Ondeh Gateau ($9) with fluffy pandan chiffon sponge, gula melaka coconut, pandan fresh cream, and coconut sorbet!

The White Label is taking halal French fusion food to the next level and we can’t wait to see what else they have next. ? Make your reservations now and try their unique dishes for yourself!
