Known for their unique take on Asian-Western cuisine, The Malayan Council is a Muslim-owned establishment that aims to redefine the art of fine dining. They do this by serving freshly cooked platters using only curated premium ingredients combined with their very own traditional recipes to offer quality and exquisite dishes and varieties. ? With three other existing restaurants, The Malayan Council has been well received by its loyal customer base for providing great service on top of delicious comfort food!

The opening of its fourth and newest location at the Esplanade was strategically made to reach more Muslims and tourists. The Malayan Council is passionate about letting these customers experience a European dining concept. The location is perfect for special occasions and get-togethers with good food that is most importantly halal! ✨

At their Esplanade outlet, you’ll be able to enjoy an exclusive menu that has been revamped and tailored to fit the ambience of its new location. ? Here are some of the new food items you have to try:

1. Beef Wellington

As the main featured dish at The Malayan Council in Esplanade, the Beef Wellington is a must-try! Sink your teeth into well marbled beef with a buttery goodness that just melts in your mouth and a crispy pastry outer layer. ? The portion size is just nice for sharing if you’re looking order more of what's on the menu (because you really should!).

2. Crispy King Prawn

If you’re a fan of crunchy and flavourful dishes then you have to try the Crispy King Prawn! What’s not to love about a crispy batter coating the outside, and fresh and tender prawns on the inside? But don’t be surprised by the burst of Japanese ikura (red caviar) that follows every bite. It’s so addictive, you’ll want seconds.

When it comes to dessert, sometimes simple is best. The Butter Pudding is soft and fluffy. It’s a classic that you might not think too much about until you pair it with the ice cream and berries that come with the dish. The flavours are light and not too overwhelming, so you don’t have to worry about being too full! ?

4. Ondeh Ondeh Drink

Ondeh Ondeh desserts aren’t anything new but have you heard of an Ondeh Ondeh Drink? ? Take a sip of this green concoction and get a taste of sweet, creamy but light and refreshing taste of pandan, coconut and gula melaka. The drink isn’t too heavy on the flavours but you’ll still get that nostalgic and fragrant ondeh ondeh taste.

And with National Day 2022 coming soon, be sure to get a reservation and ask to be seated where you can watch the fireworks (only at selected tables)! ? So, if you’re looking for restaurants that offer halal food with a fine dining concept, make sure to check out the newly opened The Malayan Council at the Esplanade for a touristy experience.

P.S. If you really don't want to miss this year's fireworks show, be sure to check out:
