If you've been thinking of making that weekend trip to Thailand, it might be best if you book your accommodation NOW. As reported by Bangkok Post, hotels have been starting to offer bigger discounts due to the economic downturn. Competition heats up especially as low season begins next month. For instance, Centara Hotels and Resorts is offering a 50% discount (the stay must be on weekdays) if a reservation is made by the end of April.

Plus, we heard that the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has allocated 10–15 per cent of its annual marketing budget to increase the Muslim-friendliness of the country. Guess that means we can expect to see more halal eateries and Muslim-friendly hotels popping up! :)
