Universal Studios Japan's Super Nintendo World Will Open In Feb 2021 With A Mario Kart Roller Coaster

One of the reasons why we love Japan is because of Osaka's Universal Studios Japan! With exciting rides, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and more, it's not hard to see why it's so popular with travellers ? Soon, your experience at Universal Studios Japan will get even better - the Super Nintendo World is opening on 4 February 2021! For your future trip to Japan, this is one spot that you have to add to your list.

Spending our afternoons playing Super Mario Bros is a nostalgia that almost every 90s kid will remember. If you're a huge fan of Nintendo video games, you'll love the Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan!

You'll be able to immerse yourself in the Nintendo World and spot all their characters as well as adventures from your favourite Nintendo games ?

The main highlight of the Super Nintendo World is none other than the Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge - a Mario Kart-themed roller coaster! If you've always wanted to experience the iconic Mario Kart courses, this is the ride for you!

The ride is housed in a reconstructed Bowser's Castle and you'll be able to experience augmented reality (AR) technology, projection mapping and other special effects. Definitely an adrenaline-pumping adventure with a twist ?

Other rides that you can expect are Yoshi's Adventure and Princess Peach's Castle. Universal Studios Japan has also put up this video on their website to give you a sneak peek of what the Super Nintendo World would be like:

When you visit the Super Nintendo World in future, you'll also need to get an "Area Timed Entry Ticket" or an "Area Timed Entry Ticket: Advance Booking".
