7. Meet the famous black-nose sheep

Now, let's jump to Zermatt, where you can get up close and personal with the famous black-nose sheep from Valais. From late June to mid-September, around 125 Wallis black nose sheep will be grazing on the Gornergrat. When you use the QR codes on the trail, you’ll find videos, facts and figures all about these typical, local sheep. Use the QR code to enable GPS localisation, where you can find the woolly sheep no matter where they are on the mountain.

#HHWTtip: The most flexible way to see them on the Gornergrat is to buy a return ticket from Zermatt to the Gornergrat. Leave the train and hike to the sheep. Afterwards, you can continue the trip by train.
