Since the pandemic, Singaporeans have been uncovering plenty of hidden gems and it shows us just how much more we need to explore our own backyard. Even though you can't travel, there are plenty of spots in Singapore that'll make you feel like you're overseas, such as the Singapore Quarry! Located within Dairy Farm Nature Park near Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, the Singapore Quarry is one of Singapore's most beautiful quarries. Here's a guide on how to get to the Singapore Quarry and halal food nearby.

If you're entering from Dairy Farm Nature Park, you can follow a trail that'll lead you to the Singapore Quarry. Besides the Wallace Trail, the Wallace Education Centre and Dairy Farm Quarry, the Singapore Quarry is a must-visit. Alternatively, you can enter from Jalan Asas near The Rail Mall through a sloped road.

If you're new to the quarry game, Singapore Quarry is the perfect beginner's quarry to explore as it's easy to get to and there are great views here too. Once used for mining granite, the quarry was filled with water. The towering cliffs and reflecting pool of water will definitely make you feel like you're somewhere overseas.

There's a platform at Singapore Quarry where you can admire the view and take a breather. As the platform extends over the water, it'll feel as though you're floating on the water. Plus, there are a few seats here for you to take a break while on your hike. In case the weather gets too hot, head over to the sheltered pavillion nearby!
