Remember a few weeks ago, we introduced you to the first halal-certified tempura stall in Singapore? Well, now you won't just be savouring their yummy tempuras because they are serving Japanese curry too!

Yes, our new favourite Tempura stall, Natsu, just launched their Japanese curry menu a few days ago and the best part is, prices start from just $6.80 ? That's pretty affordable if you ask us!

Natsu currently has two curry rice options - Prawn and Chicken - but we hope they'll be adding more in the future. The prawn or chicken is fried in their signature tempura batter and served together with Japanese curry. That's a winning combination you can't resist!?

But if you're not a fan of Japanese curry, we're pretty sure Natsu's variety of tempura items and tendon (tempura rice bowl) will excite you. After all, the chances of finding a halal tempura stall in Singapore are very slim ? We're talking about the ones where you can customise your meal by choosing individual tempura items, and Natsu gives us that experience.

There are 2 ways to fully enjoy the experience at Natsu. The first way is to pick your favourite tempura items like crabstick, prawn, chicken karaage plus other ingredients like boiled egg or edamame. You can even add rice or soba if you like and pair it with their interesting sauces (Tendon, Truffle Cream or Wasabi Mayo!) The cost of your meal will be according to what you chose (sort of like salad) but the tempura items cost anything from $0.80 to $2 so you really won't need to burn a hole in your pocket ?

The second way is to let them do the work for you by ordering their tendons. Choose from 4 different tempura rice bowls, with prices ranging from $5.90 to $9.90! Their best-seller and absolute must-try dish is the Chicken Tendon. The meat is tender, juicy and not too oily while the rice is topped with onsen egg ? What makes Natsu's tempura even more authentic is the fact that its batter is made with imported Japanese flour! Guess you don't even need to head to Japan now to savour some authentic tempura ?

Currently, there's only 1 halal Natsu outlet and it's a takeaway kiosk. But with such instagrammable boxes, we bet you won't even mind having to eat takeaway food! We do hope Natsu will be adding more halal outlets in future and eventually have one with a larger dining area. But for now, if you're looking for a place to satisfy your tempura cravings, head down to Natsu and have fun customising your meal ☺️
