While I'd never attempt delivery from Myer after one of the worst online shopping experiences of my life in 2023, the Melbourne store is still a great place to shop. The basement especially is great for brands like adidas.

Whilst I tend to shop at cheaper departmental stores for everyday items, often I have to visit Myer to get items that are more specialized, could be appliances or kids toys etc, but they actually have items that are sometimes cheaper than the budget departmental stores with better quality for everyday items too, especially when they have sales on such as their stocktake sales. It's pretty big so it's easily a one stop shop if you prefer getting everything you need from one store. Join their MyerOne free membership to know when they have special sales, but they also send you free vouchers every now and then which can be pretty awesome. Their cashiers often love to chat - I can't remember ever getting one who just scanned and packed, it was always "oh you get a discount on these, this item now comes down to $XYZ", and looks at you like you should show the most enthusiastic thanks for it, or "wow these are really cute! Do you have daughters? I'm sure they'd love them , so cute!" Bla bla bla bla bla, so my tip is if you have items from a few different levels, do them all in one go as opposed to paying for items progressively, or click and collect (that's where they prepare your items for pickup) so you just turn up, pay and go which also saves you from wasting time scouring the isles for items. If you've been waiting for a while being next in line to someone who has a complicated purchase, another staff member may approach and inform you of another cashier desk available but don't blindly follow their advise because I've done that only to turn up at an unmanned desk, and when someone finally arrived, they appeared with another customer and served them first, and remember they don't just scan and pack, it's chat chat chat bla bla so don't blindly follow advise of staff in motion. They could really do better with highlighting where the pay counters are, I'm often walking around in circles trying to find them, and when I do they're not staffed so I have to get onto an escalator to another level and scour again. There's a cafe/champagne bar on level 2 if you'd like to take a break between shopping and recharge. They often host special events all year round e.g. fashion week, giveaways, launch events, Christmas playground, Christmas windows where people actually queue for to view cuz they put a massive effort into the displays etc. Ground floor can be heaven to beauty lovers as they often give away samples (you have to request for it), have plenty of testers including perfumes, and many are more than happy to do makeup tutorials for you on the spot etc. Overall, glad this store exists, and I can see why you could love this place if you're someone who loves shopping.

I visited MYER today to address a quality concern with a Penhaligon’s perfume I had recently purchased. It was a complex and challenging issue to explain, especially when it came to the scent variation. I was fortunate to be assisted by Anna Biskis, one of the managers, who handled the situation with exceptional professionalism, empathy, and grace. Despite the difficulty of the matter, she truly listened, understood the concern from a customer’s perspective, and resolved it in a calm and respectful manner. Anna’s approach reflects the leadership, integrity, and service excellence MYER should be proud of. She is a true asset to the business and clearly has the qualities of someone ready for higher leadership responsibilities.

Old fashioned great service experienced in Myer Melbourne’s Reserve concession on level 4. A lovely, classy lady called Lyn helped me with my purchase of a winter wardrobe. She’s been at Myer for decades and reminded me of a distant time when great advice and friendly professional service was the norm, not the exception. I really enjoyed my shopping experience there which for me, is a pretty rare thing. And now I know where to go next time I need a wardrobe update. Thank you Lyn for bringing a touch of old school class to the department !

Yesterday, I presented to Myer Melbourne's lingerie department to find the perfect bra. Bra fitting is not a pursuit I look forward to but this time, finding the perfect bra was not only easy but stress free. I sought the advice of Tina, an extraordinarily professional Myer lingerie lady. Her helpful & friendly service, combined with her 40+ yrs of experience & professionalism, was so impressive. I came to Myer Melbourne to buy just one perfect bra but Tina's service & advice was so impressive that I purchased three perfect bras. An investment!
