Big market....yes, truly a big market. There are two blocks. The block nearer to the railway tracks more of wet market while the other more of dry foods and clothing. Prices can be over quoted so try to shop around for better bargain.

There are few different markets in Hatyai and one of it is this Big Market with downtown surrounding. Wet & dry items, cooked food, clothing, hardware accessories and etc, almost everything sold here. Bought 2 things and no regrets when returned to Malaysia. - One is this blue eye anchovies. Scrumptious when deep fried, definitely worth it. - Two is stinky beans/Petai. Most of the trucks here loading ample of Petai bunches. It is super cheap here compared to the price in Malaysia. Wish could spend longer at this market, to roam around and find in detail what else is interesting. Definitely a must visit.

Good places to buy your pharmacy stuff and clothes. Plenty of dried goods and clothes! You can also negotiate.

Lots of shops to do shopping. Walking distance from VL hotel. Need to bargain. prices are different at each shop. Close by 5-6pm.
