Looking for halal Thai-style BBQ steamboat? Well then you’ve got to visit Sedap Thai! Located a 10-minute walk from the popular Kampong Gelam area, this halal hawker stall uses beef fat instead of lard as a base for its Thai BBQ steamboat so it’s Muslim-friendly and still full of savoury goodness. ? Sedap Thai’s owner was inspired by the Muslim eateries he saw during his frequent trips to Southern Thailand, and decided to set up halal Thai-style BBQ steamboat so Singaporeans of all races could have a delicious Thai feast!

Choose from a variety of marinated meat and fresh seafood to customise your steamboat just how you like it. Their ala carte menu includes marinated meats like garlic chicken ($2.50 for 100g), teriyaki beef ($3 for 100g), and black pepper beef ($3 for 100g). ? They even have scallops, crayfish, mussels, and big prawns for the seafood lovers out there, and Munchies like Chicken Hot Dog, Turkey Ham, and Cheese Tofu! Throw your selection onto the grill, and it won’t be long before you’ll find your mouth watering in anticipation.

#HHWT Tip:Quote ‘HHWT’ when you order, and you can get 1 free a la carte plate of Munchies! ?

If you really want to have a feast or are dining in a small group? Then we recommend going for the All-you-can-eat buffet ($20 per diner). While the buffet does not include seafood items, it’s definitely worth it as you can dine on meats and ingredients without having to pay extra! ?  And you can always top up your order with your favourite fresh seafood too - the owner buys the seafood directly from Jurong Port on his own so you know it’s guaranteed to be fresh!

If you’re dining out with just one friend, their Standard Platter ($20, for 2 diners) and Bundles ($20) are worth ordering too. The Standard Platter includes a 2-person serving of their most popular items, and the 3 kinds of bundles - Random, Chicken Out, and Beef It Up - featuring their best meat and meatballs. ?If you’re not full, you can still add on an ala carte plate of Munchies or more to fill your stomachs - or quote ‘HHWT’ when ordering to get 1 free a la carte plate of Munchies!

The next time you’re craving Thai food, skip the tom yum and head to Sedap Thai for some unforgettable Thai BBQ Steamboat!
