What's the scariest ride in the world?

The scariest ride in the world is definitely not for the faint-hearted. However, this kind of ride has a special place in people's hearts despite the whirls that pump up your adrenaline. Hence, there always be a newer and scarier ride that is built somewhere in the world.

In less than a month, the Universal Studios Beijing will open its door to the visitor. After almost five years of construction, this 5th Universal Studios theme park will be officially open on 20 September 2021. Guess what? This theme park will also include at least four heart-thumping roller coaster rides!

Singaporeans can travel to Beijing under certain terms and conditions to try this theme park. However, if you opt for more adventure, you gotta try these scariest rides in the world!

Nothin' But Net

This thrilling ride in Dallas lets you free fall from the top of a 16-story tower. There's nothing that will hold you from the top while you are flying free in the air. There's only you, no bungee, no parachute, nada. All you have is a set of nets that will catch you when you fall.

This net has a patented release system that will ensure you will fall in a low center of gravity. The landing is also smooth enough to comfort your pounding heart.

Insanity Ride at Stratosphere

This ride is located at the top of The Stratosphere Hotel building in Las Vegas. Not only will take you to 270 meters up above, but it's also crazy enough to hang and spin you above the air freely up to 64 km/hour. This claw-like ride spread away while spinning, giving you a borderless view of the land below!

Tower of Terror II

Short and sweet, this ride really lives up to its name. This steel shuttle is the first roller coaster in the world that reaches the speed of 160 km/hour. It takes only 7 seconds for this ride to be fully accelerated.

The ride will first be moving backward out of the tunnel until the track bend 90 degrees and pauses, leave the 14 passengers hanging vertically to catch their breath. The ride then drops forward at full speed and stops at the point where it started.

Formula Rossa

Move on to Dubai, UAE, you can find one of the world's scariest rides. The Formula Rossa is the world's fastest roller coaster with a top speed of 240 km/hour. This top speed accelerated after only 5 seconds, imagine how would that feel to your heart and stomach!

Inspired by the Italian racetrack Autodromo Nazionale Monza, the track's length is 2,2 kilometers. The passenger can experience 1,7 to 4,8 G-force during the ride!

Steel Dragon 2000

With a track length of 2.479 meters, this ride is named the longest roller coaster in the world! Opened in 2000, this ride will bring the passenger speeding up to 153 km/ hour. After climbing the hill, the car drops 100 meters to the ground, rises again, then spins and swirls on the helixes.
