Ramadan is the perfect opportunity for us to be a better version of ourselves. The holy month is also a great time for us to be grateful for all our blessings and give back to society. From donating to volunteering your time or simply just sharing a cause, giving back and helping the underprivileged doesn’t have to be an uphill task. As part of HHWT’s virtual event, Hello Ramadan 2021, frozen food brand Sadia will be donating frozen chicken products to 500 families in Singapore. The good news is that you can help to contribute to their cause too!

For the uninitiated, Sadia is known for its frozen meat products and ready-to-eat range which make preparing meals easy and convenient without compromising on taste. With meals that can be prepared in 15 minutes or less, Sadia’s products are perfect for families who are looking for a healthy lifestyle. You might have seen some of Sadia’s products like their burger patties, breaded chicken cutlet and even Nasi Lemak Chicken Wings

This Ramadan 2021, Sadia will be donating 1kg of their fully cooked chicken (breaded chicken cutlet) and 1kg chicken grillers to charity, amounting to $12,500. The products will go to 500 families which are part of Beyond Social Services. The charity is dedicated to helping children and youths from less privileged backgrounds to break away from the poverty cycle. With guidance, care and resources, the organisation enables families and communities to keep their young people in school and out of trouble. Sadia has previously worked with Beyond Social Services in previous Ramadans to provide their chicken products to these families.

What’s great about this initiative is that you can pledge your support for it too as it will be part of Hello Ramadan 2021’s 1% Better Every Day Challenge. From 17-23 April 2021, the HHWT community has to complete 1000 challenges in total and Sadia will donate its chicken products to 500 families. As Ramadan is a great time to reset, get out of your comfort zone and take on new challenges! Some of the challenges that you can definitely try are taking a 20-minute walk in nature, trying out a new recipe, volunteering to give out food to the needy and more! All you have to do is click “Complete” once you’ve done the challenge. It doesn’t sound that hard, does it??

So, if you don’t have the means to donate or you’re strapped for time to volunteer this Ramadan, why not pledge your support for Sadia’s sponsorship initiative instead? Not only will you get to help the underprivileged, your Ramadan will also be more fulfilling as you try the various challenges. SHARE this with your loved ones and start making a difference this Ramadan!
