As Singaporeans have been unable to travel for almost a year, most of us have been exploring more places in our own backyard. It's always a breath of fresh air when you uncover a hidden gem or underrated spot, such as the Raffles Marina Lighthouse! While lighthouses in Singapore are a rare sight and many aren't accessible to the public, the Raffles Marina Lighthouse is one spot you can visit ?
Located all the way at Tuas West, the Raffles Marina Lighthouse is possibly the closest you can get to Malaysia. From here, you'll also be able to spot the Tuas Second Link. The lighthouse is maintained by the Raffles Marina Club and according to its website, it's the only one out of 6 lighthouses in Singapore that's not owned and operated under the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore.
Once you enter Raffles Marina, you'll be greeted with yachts and boats that are parked at the dock. To get to the lighthouse, just follow the pier which leads to the lighthouse. It'll take about 10 minutes as you take a leisurely stroll towards the lighthouse.

You'll also see a couple of anglers here. It's no wonder that the Raffles Marina Lighthouse is a popular spot for wedding shoots!
Visit the lighthouse during sunset and you'll be treated to dreamy views which feels like it's a scene out of a Hollywood film. In case you're wondering, that's Johor's Forest City! Since you can't travel to Malaysia now, this is the least you can do to fuel your wanderlust for now ?
