Make This Quick & Deliciously Easy Guacamole Recipe At Home

[Updated 8 June 2021] Originally from Mexico, guacamole is a creamy avocado-based dip that goes perfectly with a lot of things. Whether you're having a taco night, dressing up your salad or making a breakfast toast, this simple yet flavourful spread is just the thing that will take your meal to the next level. In less than 10 minutes (and no more than 10 ingredients!), you're only moments away from making your newest favourite dip 😉 So, let's get started on this easy guacamole recipe! Ingredients
  • 3 ripe avocados
  • ½ small white onion (finely diced)
  • 2 Roma tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp cilantro
  • 1 jalapeno (seeds removed and finely diced)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ black pepper
  • Squeeze of lemon to taste
Directions
  1. Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit and scoop the flesh out (or slice into cubes) before placing into a bowl. If this is your first time cutting avocados, check out the video below for a quick tutorial! 👇
  1. Smash the avocados using a fork or a potato masher. Make it as chunky or as smooth as you'd like.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix together.
  3. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
Notes:
  1.  Make sure your avocados are on the riper side so that it's easier to smash and you'll have a creamier texture. 
  2. When storing leftover guacamole, transfer it to an airtight container and cover the entire surface of the guac with a plastic wrap to prevent oxidizing (browning).
