Things to do in Pulau Jerejak

1. Cycling, jungle trekking and suspension bridge

You may be tempted to visit the Instagrammable spots in Pulau Jerejak as soon as you step off the ferry, but take a breather and explore Penang's secret gem on a bicycle! You can rent a bicycle at Jerejak Island Resort for RM15 per hour.

If you prefer to take a walk, the resort also provides guided jungle trekking for RM20 per person where you'll walk through the thick foliages of the jungle. Stay focused and you'll spot a suspension bridge that is fenced by tall and leafy trees.

2. Colourful umbrella installations

When you're in a scenic outdoor attraction like Pulau Jerejak, looking up at the sky is a must. When you do, you may chance upon the colourful umbrella installations too. Similar to the floating umbrellas at Ipoh Old Town and Empire Damansara (Kuala Lumpur), the bright hues can enliven any Instagram feed. Remember to point your phone upwards to capture your subject against these multi-coloured umbrellas.

3. Stairway to Heaven

If you find the Stairway to Heaven in Kota Belud absolutely captivating, you'll be happy to know that Pulau Jerejak has its own version too. Splashed entirely in white, just capture the snapshot at the right angle to see the staircases stretches to as far as the eyes can see.

4. Instagrammable swings

Another thing you shouldn't miss out on in Pulau Jerejak is the Instagrammable swings! Besides the beachfront swing that's adorned with delicate flowers, keep a look out for the couple's swing that also overlooks the beach and a wooden swing that's shaped like a giant bird's nest!
