Friday prayer at 13.00 and so crowded, make sure you come here at 12.00 for guaranteed seated space, There's mart and sell delicious bento for ¥500. So grateful to be here. The khutbah is in japanese and Indonesian language.

Masjid Istiqlal Osaka is a large and serene mosque located close to central Osaka. It provides a tranquil space for prayer and serves as a dynamic center for Islamic cultural events and community activities. Welcoming both worshippers and visitors, it’s an excellent destination for spiritual connection and learning about Islamic culture.

I have been here after strolling around osaka, and that me surprised from this mosque is bigger than kyoto grand mosque. There's shopping shop inside the mosque that sell halal good stuff from Asean especially from Indonesia. Woman and Man prayer's room seperated by floor

I did i’tikaf here (Ramadan 2025) and it was very comfortable at least for ladies. It is 5 stories tall and there is a whole floor exclusive for ladies. First floor got a halal shop selling ingredients and snacks from various countries.

So happy to get to pray the Eid Fitri prayer here this year in 2025… 5000 and more people came to pray organized into 5 batches… Glad I was in the 2nd batch… where it was still early and cold, and not super super crowded. The organizers were pretty good in controlling the flow of people and providing a nice experience.
