This mosque has a water point for hikers that needs to drink or top up water when walking along the rail corridor. Nice and great for hikers.

It has it's rustic charm despite undergoing several renovations. Really glad that they added the water cooler feature for public consumption (to accomodate for the nearby hikers of the rail corridor trail).. ?

Alhamdulilah. Quaint and charming 50 year old single level mosque. Out of the way and nestles in what is now a quiet district... but fine if you have your own transportation and happy wait a bit after Friday prayers for traffic to thin out Was raining heavily when I got there and it made for a very nostalgic scene. Still has legacy wooden pillars painted in gold color. Popular with old timers who are always friendly and welcoming. Hope it stays for a long time more.

In summary, the highlights there were: (1) Masjid Hang Jebat (an "old school" mosque) (2) The colonial houses along Jalan Hang Jebat (3) The super old trees along Jalan Hang Jebat Once at Masjid Hang Jebat (via Rail Corridor South), do check out the pretty colonial houses behind the mosque. People were still living in those houses and the whole area was so peaceful and serene. It was also such a joy seeing and appreciating the lush greenery there. Overall, it was like being in another world. I wished I could stay in one of those houses during my retirement years. By the way, Jalan Hang Jebat was where the original Colbar (Colonial Bar) was located.

Old, quaint mosque. Full of history. Gives you the vibe of the pre-modern Singapore. Great place to come for peace and tranquility.
