One the most maintained and systematic masjids in Pattaya.

Very good and clean place for pray

1 of my favorite masjid in Pattaya. Nearby to my studio during work in Rayong before.

During my visit the main door is closed but you can park outside for pray. Behind the Mosque has a hidden cafe in it.

It was a hot Saturday afternoon day between Dhuhr and Asr prayers, Eid-ul-Fitr, the greatest holiday for muslims going, when I visited my second time, or rather the second try to get in, Masjid Anwar As-Sunnah. This time, too, the meshid was closed. But a very friendly neighbour shopkeeper, a muslima herself, let me go in to see the meshid, to take pics and pray rakas for the meshid. Meshids are not only for prayers, they are much more. Mosques are central points in muslims life, centres of communal life. This is easily seen in Masjid Anwar As-Sunnah where there the downstairs is meant for more practical business', and the second floor is the meshid space itself. Masjid Anwar As-Sunnah is a beautiful mosque. Special thanks to shopkeeper lady letting me see this beauty. These are moments of the life, alone in the lovely meshid, wandering there inside, looking at small details of the construction and taking pics, and then, in peace, to concentrate in one's prayers.
