Beautiful local mosque tucked in Bethnal Green high street

Excellent mosque. The main imam here is very kind hearted and the mosque doesn't get very much into politics or unnecessary debates. Just a lovely and relaxed place to worship our creator.

Great location, paid street parking available. Clean toilet/wudu area. Visited in Ramadan 2023, iftar was provided. JizakAllah

Alhamdulillah, I discovered this beautiful mosque by chance one day while I was out shopping at Hut Bazar just down the road. It was getting close to prayer time, and I asked someone local where the nearest masjid was. They pointed me in the right direction, and that was the beginning of something special. Ever since then, whenever I’m in the area, I make a point to pray here. Honestly speaking, it gets packed — and I mean properly packed — no matter what time or which salah it is. That’s always a good sign. It shows how active the community is and how beloved this masjid is to the locals. On many occasions, I’ve found myself praying on the third floor, which just shows how well-prepared the mosque is for large numbers. They’ve got multiple levels, and they’ve made great use of the space. From the outside, you probably wouldn’t even realise it’s a mosque. It blends into the street like any regular building. But the moment you step inside, it hits you — the sense of calm, the cleanliness, the organisation, and the effort that’s clearly been made to keep this house of Allah welcoming and functional. The management have done a brilliant job maintaining it, and it really shows. One thing to bear in mind is that it does get very busy, especially during jummah or peak prayer times. Because of that, some brothers end up praying in the walkways, especially towards the back. If you arrive late and need to get in or out, it can be tricky, as you obviously can’t pass in front of someone who is praying. So my advice is to try and get there a bit early to avoid any difficulties and to secure a good spot. As for the wudhu (ablution) facilities, I haven’t used them personally because I usually try to maintain my wudhu throughout the day. But judging by the rest of the mosque, I have no doubt they’re clean and well-maintained. All in all, this is a gem of a masjid tucked away in a busy area, and I feel grateful to have found it. May Allah reward those who built it, maintain it, and continue to serve the community through it.
