As many Malaysians look to explore their beautiful country this year post-MCO, many people are eyeing Sabah for their next travel adventure. This East Malaysian state truly has so much to offer (check out our brand new Kota Kinabalu, Kundasang and Kinabatangan itinerary
!). It's also home to some of the most beautiful coasts and diving spots. And while many make their way to Sipadan or Mabul island for that diving or island getaway, there's a new resort that's getting everyone's attention - Nusakuya Resort in Semporna, Sabah!
Disclaimer: Rates are based on inquiries to Nusakuya Resort as of July 2020. As bookings are made directly with the resort we recommend that you check the room rates for the period that you intend to visit with the resort prior to booking.
Nusakuya is a floating resort located off the coast of Semporna. Surrounded by beautiful azure waters, the resort started operating just late last year. While the resort had to close temporarily earlier this year due to the MCO, it has now reopened for business and is accepting guests again. And who wouldn't want to go to a place like this? 😍
Given the resort's remote location, similar to other
island resorts in the area, Nusakuya offers an all-in stay package for guests, including meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), boat transfer to and from Semporna jetty and snorkelling equipment. There are also optional add-ons such as airport transfer from Tawau to the jetty, a barbecue meal, or you can also make special arrangements (such as meals delivered to your chalet) at extra charge.
The floating chalets at Nusakuya range between a double room (for 2 people) or a triple room (for 3 people). Each room comes with a balcony and a staircase that descends right into the sea!
Based on our checks with the resort, rates are currently going from RM800 per night for a double room and from RM1,100 for a triple room for a 2D1N stay (including meals, boat transfer, and snorkelling equipment). You get slight discounts if you a book a longer stay - 3D2N stays are RM1500 (double room) and RM2000 (triple room), while 4D3N stays are RM2100 and RM2800 respectively. Currently, the resort does not have a website nor is it available on booking platforms - all bookings are to be made directly via Whatsapp
or you can email [email protected]
Nusakuya is definitely a hidden
gem that's many are just starting to discover, and if you're thinking of exploring the beauty of Semporna's waters, this is definitely a place to check out! Even if you're not planning to fly out to Tawau anytime soon, bookmark this resort for that special trip in the future 😉Rate:
