East siders, you're in for a really sweet treat! A popular Indonesian street snack has made its way into the heartlands of Singapore. Yes, we're talking about martabak manis (thick sweet pancake)! Terang Bulan, a muslim-owned eatery has just set up shop at East Village.

If you've been to Indonesia, you've definitely seen this on the streets or probably even enjoy its goodness. But finding an authentic one in Singapore can be an uphill task, let alone a good one. Fret not, Terang Bulan will definitely satisfy your every craving ?

Fun fact: The owner, whose family migrated to Singapore from Indonesia when she was young, personally went to Surabaya to learn how to make martabak manis.

Terang Bulan has unique flavours you probably never thought of before such as their Terbul Green Tea ($8) - green tea kit kat with nutella. There are also other mouth-watering flavours like cheese oreo and nutella milo. It's not easy to achieve a consistent batter for martabak manis but Terang Bulan has perfectly mastered it. Trust us, every bite is a slice of heaven ?

With over 30 flavours to choose from the menu, you'll be spoilt for choice but with Terang Bulan's pizza option, you can mix and match the flavours you want. Imagine all your favourite flavours in one pizza - it doesn't get any better than this! The Pizza Terbul (from $9), as they call it, is ideal for sharing with your friends and family ?

Red velvet lovers, rejoice! Other than their signature martabak base, you can also opt for the red velvet base ? Paired with cream cheese, the red velvet martabak will surely leave you wanting more. Top that with oreo, cheese or milo powder - you name it, they have it!

If martabak manis isn't for you, don't worry! Terang Bulan shares their space with The Original Pisang Keju which sells banana fritters with cheese. Fried bananas topped with cheese and condensed milk, who can resist that?! Try their Platter ($8) to get the best of all their flavours.

With such delicious treats, there's no reason for you not to travel to the east now ? But even if East Village is too far for you, Terang Bulan and The Original Pisang Keju can also deliver to your house but since slots are limited, make sure you check their Instagram page for available slots! If you're lucky, you might even spot both stalls at a pasar malam near your house.
