What comes to mind when you think of fine dining? Do you think of bite-sized portions of exquisite cuisine in a rooftop dining setting? Yes, we feel you! Most of the time when someone says 'fine dining', you're immediately put off by the fact that it's too expensive, or that it won't fill your tummy.

Well, this new muslim-owned restaurant tucked in a hidden corner of Thomson will prove that all wrong. Gastronomad has just opened its doors and we are more than happy that halal fine dining has made its way to the heartlands? Its prices are kept affordable as well, ranging from $13 to $25 and their serving portions are hearty too!

For all you foodies who are always up for an adventure, Gastronomad promises you JUST that. The restaurant prides itself on serving halal modern-edge cuisine so expect to surprise your tastebuds - with dishes ranging from modern European, Middle Eastern and Asian Fusion cuisine.

This seemingly pink dish you see is called Girls Play - a combination of confit beetroot salmon and heritage tomatoes. If you're a huge fan of salmon and you like your food in bright colour, this is one dish NOT to miss!?

Indulge in their Saffron Prawn Risotto which comes with fresh tiger prawns, torched mushrooms and tomatoes. The mix of flavours from the creamy risotto and spice-flavoured prawns is sure to leave you wanting more!

If you're not a fan of prawns, try the Ghost Chicken. This juicy starter has a combination of 10 marination spices like paprika, ghost pepper and cayenne pepper. The chicken is cooked under precise temperatures and slathered with butter at medium heat. Imagine the delicious burst of flavours as you're enjoying the meat?

Another dish you should not miss is In The Sea. This dish consists of a huge slab of charred octopus paired with homemade sambal and squid ink sauce. This is perfect for you if you like your food spicy!

And if you're interested in how your meals are prepared, Gastronomad has an open-kitchen concept where you can witness all the behind-the-scenes action.
