Warner Bros. is planning to open a Harry Potter-themed park in Tokyo in 2023, and while the project is still under discussion we're already looking forward to the eventual reveal! The park will be built on land currently occupied by Toshimaen Amusement Park. Toshimaen will be closed down soon after 100 years of operation.

While there's already a rides-based Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the Universal Studios Japan (USJ) theme park in Osaka, the new park will be different in one major way. It'll supposedly be a movie studio-type park similar to the London attraction! ? The London attraction is famous worldwide for giving visitors an up-close experience with props and sets from the franchise.

Official plans are far from being released yet, but if it's going to be similar to the London studios then we're definitely in for a treat. The London studios showcase sets from the movie such as Diagon Alley, so you can actually visit Snape's Potions Classroom, the Great Hall, and even the Dursleys' Living Room! ?

You can even see iconic props and costumes such as the Sorting Hat, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes candy, and the formal outfits from the Yule Ball in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. We can only imagine what we'll get to see at the Tokyo park! ?

The current experience at the London studios also includes peeks into the special and visual effects, art department, and creature effects for an all-around treat. The Tokyo park is rumoured to be opening in spring 2023, so we might be just 3 years away from its grand opening. If so, then we're looking forward to what we're sure will become one of our favourite spots in Tokyo! ?
