1. Ngopi

Fort Cornwallis is a historical site in Penang and now it’s home to Ngopi, a coffee truck where you can get your fill of coffee and pastries. The tiffany blue coffee truck is perfect for your Instagram feed! Surrounded by lush greenery and sea breeze, grab a cuppa and enjoy your day. Perfect for a mid-day pick-me-up!

2. Golden Egg Penang

If you fancy a hi-tea, Golden Egg Penang is your best bet. Their signature hi-tea set, the Tic Tac Toe, has eight sweet and savoury treats such as smoked salmon avocado, chocolate tarts, and puddings. They also have Western fusion dishes and the creamy turkey spaghetti is a must-try!

3. Sedaun

If you’ve had your fill of nasi kandar and want to try something new, head over to Sedaun in Bayan Lepas. The cosy cafe serves must-try fusion dishes such as smoked duck volcano rice bowl, una don and tiger prawn aglio olio. The minimalist, all-white cafe is also the perfect backdrop for an Instagram post!

Secangkir Kopi Hitam, or its direct translation, “a cup of black coffee” is the perfect pit stop for, well, coffee. This tiny cafe on Lebuh Clarke also serves traditional kuih (pastries) as well as simple local delights such as fried noodles and nasi lemak!

5. Utoo Boho Cafe

Utoo Boho Cafe is a cute aesthetic cafe, perfect to catch up with your girlfriends! Drenched in ample natural lighting, with lots of macrame pillows, serene charm just seeps from every corner of this lovely cafe! Enjoy your coffee with their petit gateaux desserts such as emerald ganache, matcha mousse, and a selection of French pastries. The cafe is also located in a stationery shop so, while you enjoy your cuppa, you can also browse for notebooks and arts and crafts supplies!
