I loveeeee gardens, parks and all the greeneries Singapore has to offer. Don't get me started on Botanic Garden, I love it, it's huge, they have nice picnic grounds, they have swans, playgrounds etc. BUT! I've never stepped foot into National Orchid Garden though I've gone to Botanic Garden a lot. Never in my life since it opened in 1995. Why? Cos I imagined a boring orchid garden, and it's not free (lol).

Not just Orchids unlike what I thought initially.Credit: Nur Raudhah
But after it announced the new attractions inside, and my father in law has a love for Orchids, I 'jio-ed' my in-laws for a walk.

The landscaping of the garden is gorgeous! They've got arches with orchids on them. Credit: Nur Raudhah
And you know what, the admission fee is only $5 for adults. $1 for seniors. Kids under 12 go in for free. (Do note that these prices are for locals, you may check out other details on admission here.)

My kids love it too. They were enjoying looking at all types of Orchids and running around. Credit: Nur Raudhah
It can get quite hot. But we were greeted by the Sembcorp Cool House at the far end of the garden. The garden is 16 degrees cold. Imagine Cloud Forest (Gardens by the Bay), but a veryyy tiny version of it. We were in there for less than 30mins. But overall, the kids enjoyed it, and it was a beautiful garden.

It's a huge garden. Our highlight was definitely the Sembcorp Cool House that recently opened. Credit: Nur Raudhah
