Get in line at Tampines 1 for the perfect taste of smokiness and sweet aroma of oak-infused dishes!
The excitement continues to build for the Tampines Community with Namu Bulgogi joining the expanding list of halal-Certified restaurants in Singapore's East. What makes it even more mouth-watering excitement is the diverse menu, featuring not just meat dishes, but also a variety of seafood, fried rice, noodles, and classic Korean options.
Namu Bulgogi, with "Namu" meaning 'wood' in Korean, takes pride in using premium prime cuts of oak wood to create a slow burn, delivering a subtle vanilla sweetness with steady heat, guaranteeing a real oakwood smoky taste to its oakwood smoke-grilled dishes.
Namu Signature Set for 2 to 3 pax (S$59)

This is the bestseller set that would suit 2 to 3 pax which includes these dishes: 2-in-1 Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Chicken with Corn Cheese (Original and Gochujang), Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Bulgogi Beef or top-up $7 for the Oxtail, Seafood Soy Sauce Fried Rice with Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Tiger Prawn and Squid, Chicken Sundubu Jjigae or top-up $2 for Seafood Sundubu Jjigae, Potato Quail Egg Jangjorim and Free Flow of Steamed Rice, Kimchi and Radish Banchan.

It was certainly a filling and delicious dinner, offering the chance to enjoy some Korean classic dishes without having to fly all the way to Korea. The highlight for me was the Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Oxtail, which was slow-cooked for eight hours to perfection and served with a rich, savoury stew where the meat was tender and easy to bite into.

For the 2-in-1 Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Chicken with Corn Cheese (Original and Gochujang), it's best enjoyed while hot to fully experience the delightful cheese pull with every bite of the chicken, whether in the original or gochujang flavour.

As for the Seafood Fried Rice, you have the option to choose between Soy Sauce or Kimchi flavours, and I particularly enjoyed the fresh, vibrant seafood in the dish.

For the Sundubu Jjigae, I chose the Spicy Seafood Tofu Stew, packed with a generous & hearty mix of fresh seafood, leek, egg, zucchini, onions, tofu, and enoki mushrooms.
Dishes to Elevate Your Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Experience
A great way to savour more of the oakwood smoke-grilled dishes is by gathering a larger group and sharing dishes like the oakwood smoke-grilled spicy baby octopus with squid, oakwood smoke-grilled original chicken with green chilli, and oakwood smoke-grilled beef galbi.

However, if you're looking to explore beyond the oakwood smoke-grilled options, Namu Bulgogi also offers delicious sides such as Fried Chicken Chunks (Gochujang or Soy Garlic), Cheesy Gyeran Jjim (a steamed egg dish with corn cheese), Tteokbokki with Homemade Kimari, Haemul Pancake, or the ever-popular Crispy Golden Fries.
